Paul Hsien-Li Kao

Dr Paul Hsien-Li Kao is an interventional cardiologist majoring in transcatheter cardiovascular interventions. His main research interests are:

1), coronary interventions for complex lesions, such as left main disease, bifurcations, and chronic total occlusion;

2), cerebral vascular interventions, such as carotid artery stenting, carotid artery occlusion recanalization, and vertebral artery stenting; 3), cardiac valvular diseases, such as transcatheter aortic valve intervention (TAVI).

He is currently associate professor of medicine in the National Taiwan University school of Medicine, and director of the cardiac cath lab in the National Taiwan University Hospital. He is active in domestic, regional, and international academic societies including Taiwan Society of Cardiovascular Intervention, Taiwan Society of Cardiology, and Asian-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology.
